Tommy Tippy!

See Grammy, I do use my Tommy Tippy when you are not here :) Sam's Grammy bought this for him long before he was born. Sam's mom used this type of cup when she was his age, or so Grammy says. When Grammy saw one years ago she bought it in hopes of giving it to a grandkid someday. Here is Sam using his special cup!

Date night!!!

This is the first time Jake and I have been on a date, at a normal hour since Sam has been over three months old. His Grammy watched him and they had a great time. She even managed to get Sam to sleep, yeah Grammy! Sorry for Sam, he is kind of underdressed :)

Just Like Mommy!

Here is Sam at The Kettle in Manhattan Beach. It was not his first time here, but the first time he was awake here and first time in a high chair. His Mom went to The Kettle all the time while growing up and was excited for her little man to do the same!

Future Bruin?

Gotta take Sam to UCLA at a young age so he can share the Bruin love with his Dad. Here is Sam at the Bruin Bear at UCLA. He was quite interested in touching it. Thanks for sharing your UCLA shirt with Sam Discher family!!

Thanks Great Aunt Fanny!

Sam got these ducks from his Great Aunt Fanny. She is his Great Grandma "Nonny Bea's" sister. Sadly he never met Great Grandma "Nonny Bea". Hopefully we will meet Great Aunt Fanny sometime. He loves the ducks and wanted to show them to her all the way in New York!!

The Avignon family nicely let Sam use their saucer. He loves it. I don't think this is how it was meant to be used though :)



With all the new foods we have been giving Sam, his tummy was a bit plugged up. Thought some prunes could help. Looks more like he got beat up. In case anyone was curious, the prunes worked their magic :)

Happy Day for Sam!

At Sam's 9 month check up he got the go ahead for pretty much any food, aside from honey, nuts, and egg whites. Mom was so excited to share one of her favorite treats with Sam. ICE CREAM, yeah!!

Family Vacation!!

Sam recently went on his first Pieroni family vacation. Not too far from home, but so much fun to get away. Sam had a blast. He couldn't get enough of his cousins and roaming as he pleased in the walker! First time in the walker. He now owns one to use at his own home. That you Lowe family for introducing Sam to this wonderful item!

Finally taking a nap. He would only sleep on the big person bed, no crib for him. Sam is not one of the babies who sleep better away from home!

Great Grandma's Birthday Party!

Sam with his Greatgrandma or GG. She is such a special lady and Sam is so lucky to have two GG's in his life. This was at her birthday party a few weeks ago. He had a great time and got to play with the other greatgrandkids!

Dental Hygiene!

We have gotten various advice on whether or not you need to brush a babies teeth. Sam has 5 teeth so I decided to get him a toothbrush. Never to early I suppose. He loves it. We try to give it to him when Jake or I are brushing our teeth. He mostly chews it but will let you brush his teeth for a second. This is a shot of the first time he got cleaned!

Sam's first time in the pool. Good thing Grandma and Grandapa P have a pool in their neighborhood. Sam loved the water and especially liked watching cousin Matt cannonball into the water.
