I am back!

and so are Sam and his antics. Since it has been almost 3 months since there has been an update I will just put some of my favorite pics up and start fresh. Hoping to keep this more current.

Sam and I at Legoland. It was so much fun and thanks to our wonderful cousins Josie and Ryan, we got to go for free. Sam loved it and we hope to go back. Too bad it is so expensive!

Sam and Dad at Wilderness Park. It was great fun there. You can buy food from a dispenser and feed the koi and turtles.
and just looking cute in his crib. He likes to play in there now and is a fan of being shirtless. With that physique, can you blame him?

everyone says he looks like Jake. So Jake trying his best to "smile" like Sam. This was actually on Mother's Day but my favorite shot from the day :)

Sam in the snow!

One missed event that I wanted to make sure to get on here. Sam's first trip to the snow. It was fun to get away but definitely not his favorite thing. We went to Big Bear for the weekend. Great weather and plenty of snow so no complaints there. Poor Sam got carsick on the way up the hill so barfed for the first time since baby spit up, I know, poor us No barf for almost a year! It was all over the spot clean only carseat, great!

No pics of that but on to the snow pics.

With Mom getting ready to go out. Just the bibs on, so far so good!
what is this on my head? How do I get it off of there?Dad trying to get a picture with me. The tantrum has begun!
All decked out, jacket, gloves and hat, no way!!

Dad taking me on the sled. Hated that as well. Yes my boots are pink. This was a last minute trip and Mom had no idea how hard it is to find snow boots for babies in February. Luckily one of our friends lent us her's. They have a little girl so pink it was. Poor Sam. It was short lived though!

Helping Dad make a snowman. Pink boots hidden in the snow!

and back where I want to be. On the couch reading with Dad. I am a sunshine boy, no thank you snow!!

And being Davy Crockett at the toystore in Big Bear Village. Finally a hat that didn't get removed immediately!

Finally...

It has been so long since I have posted anything here, sorry. Thanks to those who have been asking. Nice to know people are interested in Sammy Eug :) He is doing great. Getting so big, always on the go and a rapidly expanding vocabulary. Mostly "words" that only Jake and I understand but those still count right?

Rather than account for all the holidays/events that I missed on here, figured I would just keep it current. The holidays were great and we have some cute pics but if I try to document all that, it is not going to happen. I really have no reason to lag so much, there is only one Sammy Eug and Six Stechers seems to be updated rather routinely :)

Here are some shots of Sam's current favorite things!

Anything to do with Koko. He loves them. Always looking for them, dragging them around and hoping to have them in his crib. Sadly for him he does not get to sleep with them in there, we are afraid he will climb out since they are huge, maybe someday!

His boots. He got this darling outfit from his Great Aunt Rita and loves to carry the boots around. Boot is one of his "words" so he is quite proud of them. He went to feed the ducks this past weekend with Grandpa and Daddy. He had a great time until a duck grabbed food out of his hand too aggressively for his liking. On to walking in puddles after that.

Trucks and Bottles or "ga" and "bah tah" as he calls them. Both some of his current favorites. Bah tah always have to be the bottles of coffeemate creamer. He never misses an opportunity to get them from the fridge. Here he is using them together!
His chair, car and remote.

sunglasses, although only inside. Never outside when they would be beneficial :)
Shoes. His other or other people's. He doesn't care. Just loves shoes!

and open mouth kisses. Thanks for being the recipient Sandee!

Best shot yet!!

Sam and his buddy Kristie at the baby secret santa party. We can't stop laughing over this one. It looks like a card of an old married couple. Happy 60th Anniversary Sam and Kristie!

Random Fun.

Sam's latest face. Daddy taught him to make this one. If you do it to him, he will make it back at you. Not the most lovely shot, but too funny!

Why is there a dachshund chihuahua on my gorillas? Sam just woke up (big surprise with that great hair) to find Jerry snoozing on his gorillas! For those of you who had the pleasure of living with me or visiting my room, that is Large and Medium Koko! Davis Cecchin keep you snout off them! :)
And still happy about brushing his teeth. We finally got him some Thomas the Tank Engine toothpaste now he loves it even more. Loves chewing the brush that is. I love how the toothbrush package says, do not let baby chew on it. Yeah right. Put it in their mouth and expect it won't be chewed?

Some Christmas Fun

Sam helped us to make holiday ornaments. It was very fun and turned out cute. What a great helper. Next year he will be an old pro!!

Kneading the dough

Very focused on rolling it out

and it would not be complete without sampling the rolling pin!

Helping Dad to decorate the tree. Having a tree in our living room has been much smoother than I thought. It hasn't fallen over yet and no ornaments have been broken. Hopefully I am not jinxing us :)

Festival of Lights!

Some folks were concerned that Sam has one Jewish parent and one Catholic one. This definitely works on out Sam's favor since he gets to celebrate both holidays. Learning to play with the dreidel.

and enjoying some latkes and candle lighting, gifts too of couse at Grammy and Grandpa's house. Happy Hanukkah Sam. This one was much better than last year. Last year Sam was only 6 weeks old and what a disaster. He cried for hours. Maybe having a meal at 9pm was not the best idea. Rookie parents!
